A Quick Word From Yours Truly

Hi, welcome to PJ's blog.

If you've checked out the "About Me" bit you'll see I'm a keen amateur photographer who enjoys all things digital. I mostly like photographing plants and landscapes as they are easy targets ;-) I used to work in Software which sounds more exciting than it is but am now officially a Snr. Project Planner having changed jobs after almost 25yrs in Software. I sometimes wish I could work in photography but that would probably become boring if I did it day in and day out. I used to sponsor a wolf called Luna until she sadly passed away, and love all things "wolfy". Anyhow enjoy the blog and hopefully I'll manage to keep it up to date with what I've been doing and my favourite things!

Camera Stats - 2021

So the above is my stats on the camera usage for 2021. The mirrorless M50 is still my most "goto" camera and even though Covid-19 is still with us and curtailing some of the visits I would normally make without thinking twice, I still took slightly more photos this year than for 2020 :-)

The slide above comes from the new PowerBI file created from an Excel spreadsheet propagated by myself from my Lightroom original images folder with a filter looking for 5* images and no virtual copies. Took a while to create the spreadsheet but now it's done the upkeep is quite easy.

Opted to use PowerBI having done a course on it for work and having to re-invent the wheel each year end to determine what I used, when and how much, using Excel charts.

Being a data orientated person this sort of info I find quite interesting, especially as now I can see the transition over the last few years from DSLR through Compacts to Mirrorless. I can also see that the year of Lockdowns with Covid-19 (2020) saw my mobile phone become my 2nd camera effectively.
