A Quick Word From Yours Truly

Hi, welcome to PJ's blog.

If you've checked out the "About Me" bit you'll see I'm a keen amateur photographer who enjoys all things digital. I mostly like photographing plants and landscapes as they are easy targets ;-) I used to work in Software which sounds more exciting than it is but am now officially a Snr. Project Planner having changed jobs after almost 25yrs in Software. I sometimes wish I could work in photography but that would probably become boring if I did it day in and day out. I used to sponsor a wolf called Luna until she sadly passed away, and love all things "wolfy". Anyhow enjoy the blog and hopefully I'll manage to keep it up to date with what I've been doing and my favourite things!

First Local Walk

So this collage is a collection of images from the Olympus TG-6 which I took for a walk around the fields in search of some frosty inspiration.

Spent 2.25hr out and about, including a walk along to Hurstwood to drop off some used stamps for the RNIB. The house being far further along the road than I had anticipated.

The gravel path that was installed by the local council through the bottom field is looking pretty crap right now, wet and soggy in places, like walking through wet cement. Not good. I have a suspicion that cost overruled quality, would have been far better to have made it tarmac or something similar. Won't be much left of it in a few years time 😭

Walked up the far end of the field, a steep incline but easier than walking downhill, then along the top and back through the play area. Saw two new benches have been installed, pity people allow their kids/dogs to leave muddy footprints all over them, people should try and be a little more considerate. I did manage to find a reasonable section to perch on to eat my milky-way. Almost 7500 steps so not too bad I guess.

The frost has finally disappeared although we are due another cold night, hoping to see it warm up again soon, getting fed up with the cold and yet I know that come the summer time I'll be fed up with the heat - you just can't win!

We need to find a way to harness the summer warmth and let it loose in the winter!
