A Quick Word From Yours Truly


Hi, welcome to PJ's blog.

If you've checked out the "About Me" bit you'll see I'm a keen amateur photographer who enjoys all things digital. I mostly like photographing plants and landscapes as they are easy targets ;-) I used to work in Software which sounds more exciting than it is but am now officially a Snr. Project Planner having changed jobs after almost 25yrs in Software. I sometimes wish I could work in photography but that would probably become boring if I did it day in and day out. I used to sponsor a wolf called Luna until she sadly passed away, and love all things "wolfy". Anyhow enjoy the blog and hopefully I'll manage to keep it up to date with what I've been doing and my favourite things!

RIP Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

 

So the news finally hit that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth had passed away peacefully at Balmoral on 8th Sept 2022 😱

Talk about the end of an era and her 70yr reign. Accession passed to the now King Charles III, her son and heir.

They have spent the last umpty days in the harsh glare of the public gaze whilst mourning their Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother. I feel sorry that they haven't been allowed to grieve in private until now.

The BBC have spent every waking minute regurgitating news and articles and interviewing every man and his wife which has become embarrassing - just give us the salients and move on.

She will be sorely missed by the nation and the Commonwealth, indeed the world, but her son has moved seamlessly into the role and life as they say goes on.
