A Quick Word From Yours Truly

Hi, welcome to PJ's blog.

If you've checked out the "About Me" bit you'll see I'm a keen amateur photographer who enjoys all things digital. I mostly like photographing plants and landscapes as they are easy targets ;-) I used to work in Software which sounds more exciting than it is but am now officially a Snr. Project Planner having changed jobs after almost 25yrs in Software. I sometimes wish I could work in photography but that would probably become boring if I did it day in and day out. I used to sponsor a wolf called Luna until she sadly passed away, and love all things "wolfy". Anyhow enjoy the blog and hopefully I'll manage to keep it up to date with what I've been doing and my favourite things!

Advent Calendars

So these are two of this year's advent calendars, along with a Dairy Milk version 😋

The more traditional one came from Dobbies and I had high hopes for this, I love a traditional advent calendar with really nice pictures in it... Unfortunately this wasn't one of those and at £4.99 seemed to end up being a bad purchase.

This is Day 1 as you can see, the image BEHIND the window is an almost duplicate of the front image with minor changes. That's not very exciting at all. In fact most mornings I end up playing spot the difference between the front of the window and underneath.

Not in the same class as last year's calendar which was a lovely street scene with the Salvation Army playing in the square and lots of really lovely, traditional images behind each window. Last year's calendar came from Clinton Cards and quite possibly cost a similar amount. I am definitely not buying one of these from Dobbies next year and hopefully next year's shopping trips might be easier than the last two years of Covid-19 "wear a mask, get in, get out" types of shopping trips.
