A Quick Word From Yours Truly

Hi, welcome to PJ's blog.

If you've checked out the "About Me" bit you'll see I'm a keen amateur photographer who enjoys all things digital. I mostly like photographing plants and landscapes as they are easy targets ;-) I used to work in Software which sounds more exciting than it is but am now officially a Snr. Project Planner having changed jobs after almost 25yrs in Software. I sometimes wish I could work in photography but that would probably become boring if I did it day in and day out. I used to sponsor a wolf called Luna until she sadly passed away, and love all things "wolfy". Anyhow enjoy the blog and hopefully I'll manage to keep it up to date with what I've been doing and my favourite things!

Rain Stops Play :-(

So, Friday was our first trip back to the Yard since it reopened on the 17th May post some of the Covid-19 shite. And having spent all week at the work laptop watching the glorious sunshine out of the window I wondered how hot it would be for our day out...

Shouldn't have worried, not only was it cooler but it pissed down all day ☔ Managed to spend a little while there but didn't want to spend all my time indoors masked up and outside I'd have been struggling to use the camera whilst holding onto my brolly.

So promptly gave up and caught the bus home - total washout and really annoyed that Mother Nature saw fit to order a day of complete crap weather for my day off. Yes there will be other visits but why can't it rain when I have to stay indoors and work? Instead of me having to watch everyone else enjoying the sunshine???

Can't say I enjoyed the Grain Estuary soundscape exhibition either that is currently residing in Slip 3. It's a loud cacophony of sounds and voices which for me spoils the whole usual peacefulness that the "BIG SPACE" provides. I see no merit to the voices as they blur into white noise. As far as I'm concerned the sooner it packs up the better :-( If it had been simply water noises that might have made more sense but it isn't. It's totally bizarre.
